Yeah, that goes for almost all of my classmates at Uni, unfortunately…

They’ve learned to inherently distrust men, off the bat, and it colours their every interaction. And thus, they turn to lesbianism, to, as you say, get away from the “big, bad, scary men”!

Which, ironically, just makes things worse for them, lol…

I notice that many of those same girls are fucking terrified of shit like germs, and coof, and were super-enthusiastic mask wearers… And many are at least somewhat overweight…

There’s definitely some degree of correlation between all those traits, lol…

Neuroticism and its consequences.

I mean, yeah we were. But I still don’t think that the singer in question is Jewish, lol…

In this instance, however, she was fairly upfront about that bit, lol.

You also don’t meet that many people who have been to Glastonbury festival (notoriously hard to get in to) with their family every year since they were three years old…

That’s just… Very unusual, let’s say.

But sure, “ironic”. There’s a lot more Jews in present-day UK (in this case, London) than present-day Germany, though…

But anyway, to your point - yeah. I tried to help her (the victim, not the predator), I really did, but she’s surrounded herself with such bad people (mostly girls. But at least two complete cucks as well) that I just… Could never really “get in”, beyond the times we were intimate…

But also because of the broken home thing… She wouldn’t listen to her parents, either. Combined with jealousy/insecurity over her mum’s looks (totally unnecessary. She is beautiful. But yeah, for example when we joked about her mum’s hotness, I could see that it unintentionally hurt her) - made for a pretty toxic combination…

So I gave up and moved on with my life. I still hope she finds her way and gets away from the cheating whore predator though. 🤷🏻‍♂️

What I saw of it, it reads like “trans man wish fulfillment”…

But also, the fans insist that she isn’t actually trans, and is really just a bisexual crossdresser taking advantage of the situation…

Which… Makes me hate the wiki even more, I guess..?

Female crossdressers, while ick, are far less ick than what the wiki implies… Or indeed, people in general (so women and trannies, mainly) who insist that “deadnaming” is a real thing, lol.

Irene Adler, yes. That is to say, the one prominent woman in the original novels (and I wouldn’t say she is particularly “prominent”, there, either, as she only features *once)…

Who Conan-Doyle marries off (to a man, obviously, lol) and sends away to a different country, by the end, anyway, lol.

But yeah, Irene Adler. So… Rachel McAdams in the movies, or Natalie Dormer in Elementary (sort of).

The wiki claims that the author of the manga made the “Irene Adler is trans in the original” comments as justification for the character’s existence, lol…

If it were just some weird obscure fan fiction (because sadly Holmes is now public domain anyway, so anyone can do anything with it, pretty much), then I wouldn’t give a shit, but that is not what the author claims…

So, I unironically know one of these “couples” quite well…

Had a bit of a thing with one of them. Generally a fairly normal chick, but she’s young and a bit… Confused, so she’s decided she is “nonbinary” (sometimes. When it suits her).

I know she “struggles with her femininity” and her beauty (her mother is a model, lol), and she definitely… Has issues. But she is generally a good girl, I believe.

Then along comes a spider. Another “non-binary” young lass, but this one is actively cheating on her long-distance boyfriend, in order to seduce the first girl, so that they can “form a relationship” (the first girl believes she will dump her boyfriend eventually, but I doubt it), and get all of the clout that goes with that. Previously, both of these women have only ever dated men…

The predatory one is posh, British and Jewish. The other one is Italian-Canadian, dyslexic and from a broken home.

I hate everything about that situation, but it’s not my problem anymore.

This carries for almost every middle class Western Zoomer chick I have met in the last couple of years, really. Which is just sad, to be honest…

Social contagion be real.

In Sweden, surrounded by Swedish men (generally utterly pathetic, when it comes to women) - can confirm, lol…

There’s something to be said for “new world” bravado and such. Northern European women are just like, “Wait, a man who actually starts a conversation..? That… Doesn’t happen!”

So yeah…

14
bamboozler1 14 points ago +14 / -0

I’ve met only a small number of actual, committed lesbians in my life, and you can usually tell the difference between them and the other ones within one conversation…

Quite literally, there’s just… A huge difference. And generally the “real lesbians” were much more chill, because they weren’t pretending to be something they were not, and (mostly) didn’t feel the need to bash me over the head with the ideology of it all…

The political lesbians, though? Or even the political bisexuals (who pretend to like women, but also exclusively date men, par exemplar)..? Those were by far the worst. So fucking annoying. And almost always <25, too…

For some bizarre reason, the creator of this shit apparently insists that Irene Adler "chose to live as a man" in the original Conan-Doyle story...

There is zero evidence to back that up. Zero. And I have actually read the damn books... Everything in there suggests quite the opposite. Her character wouldn't even work, otherwise, given that her being a woman is the whole point of her being written in there...

Fuck I wish degenerates would cease to attempt to claim "historical legitimacy" by stealing away obviously straight, obviously "cis" historical characters and stories like this. That's just plain evil.

I'll check it out. But honestly, without the female lead, they're just kind of meh, but she, and her singer, just make it for me... Much like Leighton Meester (criminally underrated singer, btw), in her music career.

Meanwhile we have Taylor Momsen (of the Pretty Reckless), who for some reason is well-known as a muso, but who I just... Don't like.

Same type of music/band dynamic, arguably, as Kontrollverlust (albeit the Reckless do mostly originals), but I just don't like it, for some reason...

Can we also save the hall where they filmed the Blues Brothers? I think it's on the North Lake somewhere (North Lake Recreation Centre, was it?), but that, along with a few other related spots, might be worth something, lol!

I think Mount Yellowstone, less active though it is, is the one that, if it did erupt, would kill us all... But there's a couple of them out there.

Good ol' Krakatoa still exists. It just hasn't done much in more than half a century, lol...

Put it this way - the environments in which I have lived? This has never been a relevant thing to "pick up on". So if there are "signs", I'm probably not going to pick them out. It's really as simple as that.

Not that we don't have Jews where I grew up. They're just such a miniscule part of the overall population that you know who they are, and you don't really have to think about it beyond that, I suppose...

Every American Jew or Israeli I've ever met, though? Was extremely keen to point out to me that they were either of those things... So... Perhaps that's a difference.

I even dated an Israeli once. She was... Not the greatest, tbh. But we had some fun for a bit.

Because I wanted to know your logic, because I would assume, at least, that she is statistically far more likely to be a Lutheran, Catholic or Atheist/Agnostic (based on demographics of modern Germany) than a Jew. And knowing not much at all about her background, I wanted to know why you jumped to that conclusion...

Honestly, all I really know is that she seems fairly softly-spoken (at least in their earlier stuff - less so more recently, when she seemed "on her way out"), and is a singer and vocal coach.

But yeah, sure, she might be Jewish. Or she might not. I just wanted to know why exactly, based on zero evidence, to my eyes, you assumed that, essentially...

Cheesy, yes, but fun. I mean, you’re not wrong, but none of this is particularly serious. This is a band that does covers of video game themes and 90s Eurotrash pop songs, lol.

I don’t mind a bit of Käse every now and again. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Though I did try watching their more recent stuff, after she (I presume) left the band, and that is… Just the cheese. Without offering much “uniqueness” anymore. Unfortunately…

They were probably always going to run out of ideas that worked eventually anyway, though, I admit.

bamboozler1 5 points ago +5 / -0

Why? What about the girl in this band seems “Jewish” to you?

She seems pretty German to me. I’ve literally not seen a single indication of her being Jewish, nor does she “look Jewish” as so often pointed out by people here. So no, not to my knowledge at least.

Not that I particularly care to find out.

*Babel. Small correction. But yes…

Babylon is a slightly different story, lol.

Sorry to be a smart-arse, but… Kind of important, ha.

I know right! There's another one in the recommended section for me, which appears to be them doing a different version, but with the anime for the visuals, and there's a Dragonball Z one, and at the end, they appear to be arguing about Pokemon, lol (if my German serves me correctly...)

Ah I love these guys. I think Michelle might have subsequently left the band, sadly, from what I've seen of their recent videos, but the dudes are still out there, with female guest vocalists and stuff.

Anyway, I'm glad I could bring that into your life, lol! This is how I felt yesterday, when I randomly discovered them, haha...

I think the random genre mixing comes from the fact that they take suggestions/commissions on Patreon, so I guess that's how we end up with a German cover of the Digimon theme, a rock version of "My Heart Will Go On" and Green Day mashed up with Oasis, lol...

But still, they mostly manage the genre-jumping pretty well. Mostly.

This one is pretty fun, too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TlywXur06zM

Man is she one damn attractive chick, lol. No visible tatts, no piercings apart from ears, not overweight, no plastic surgery that I can see, just... Yeah, that's my type of girl I guess, lol.

bamboozler1 2 points ago +2 / -0

Not sure which song to recommend most, because it will depend entirely on what your favourite genre is, and how much, erm, sexy camera mugging you can tolerate (she's very pretty, so she mostly gets away with it in my book), but I like most of what she sings lead on, or that they do as a duet.

This is what I discovered them from (Let it Be by the Beatles): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0S8yEf-6us4

But I think her vocals might be best here (I Love You Always Forever): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jpgGWHFN6BA

And this seems to be just about her/their best overall performance: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Be4v3eN1vxc

But yeah, there's nearly a hundred videos on there, and she sings on probably half, so... If you like it, there's plenty more!

Anyway, I'm a fan, I guess. Only stumbled across them yesterday, but I'm surprised by how good most of it is, tbh.

bamboozler1 3 points ago +3 / -0

But also I think (I could be wrong, but) at least some of that song is fantasy, no..?

Sort of lines up with the "they've got cars big as bars, they've got rivers of gold" line, i.e. it's the "land of dreams", until it then isn't - "when the wind blows right through you, it's no place for the old", so maybe the couple in question dreamed up the choir, too..?

Dunno. I always found it funny that people took that song literally (and then took offence to the lyrics), when both Shane and Kirsty were very clearly singing in character throughout...

2
bamboozler1 2 points ago +2 / -0

Man, that's a left field reference! Took even me a minute to think it through, and I unironically love that song, lol...

In Australia, cops play golf, generally against divisions from the military (i.e. army, navy, air force). They have their own courses, leagues, etc.

That seems slightly more respectable, I guess.

Though they do participate in the Sydney (Gay & Lesbian) Mardi Gras, in a float, and in the Melbourne equivalent too, now, so I guess that is arguably even more (literally) "fake and gay", lol...
