Because I wanted to know your logic, because I would assume, at least, that she is statistically far more likely to be a Lutheran, Catholic or Atheist/Agnostic (based on demographics of modern Germany) than a Jew. And knowing not much at all about her background, I wanted to know why you jumped to that conclusion...
Honestly, all I really know is that she seems fairly softly-spoken (at least in their earlier stuff - less so more recently, when she seemed "on her way out"), and is a singer and vocal coach.
But yeah, sure, she might be Jewish. Or she might not. I just wanted to know why exactly, based on zero evidence, to my eyes, you assumed that, essentially...
Put it this way - the environments in which I have lived? This has never been a relevant thing to "pick up on". So if there are "signs", I'm probably not going to pick them out. It's really as simple as that.
Not that we don't have Jews where I grew up. They're just such a miniscule part of the overall population that you know who they are, and you don't really have to think about it beyond that, I suppose...
Every American Jew or Israeli I've ever met, though? Was extremely keen to point out to me that they were either of those things... So... Perhaps that's a difference.
I even dated an Israeli once. She was... Not the greatest, tbh. But we had some fun for a bit.
