The issue with Exodus can be summarised simply by saying that it took too many steps out of its niche and into the broad, generic, open-world games we've seen done a hundred times before.
It's not outright bad but it fails miserably at being a good Metro game. The world is much less interesting than the Moscow Metro (which had the chance to be fleshed out significantly in the books), and the story is so dumb that they (spoilers for Metro 2035) ran with a story and reason which Artyom pokes holes in in the book and which turns out to be a quickly-thought-up cover story for what's really going on. Not that it really matters as after the first half hour it just drops you into an "open" world, lets you waste more time walking around with nothing to do than actually doing anything interesting, then a few hours later just rinses and repeats.
If you really need your Metro fix then there are worse sequels in the world of games, but I consider Exodus to be the Fallout 4 to 2033 and LL's Fallout 3 and New Vegas - a lot of the magic is gone.
The Metro games have moral actions and deeds you can do, but short of maybe 2-3 instances they never present you with an outright moral choice to your face.
Still, after Exodus I'm not too optimistic about the future of the franchise as-is.
My guess is result. For all that they claim the right live on fearmongering, they're all about being perpetually scared that heretics racists are everywhere and any one of your friends could be one.
Plus there's the addiction to righteous outrage.
Fun fact: If Disney hadn't lobbied for copyright law extensions, Spider-Man would have become public domain last year and Ditko's estate would have no case.

In a country of 350 million it's not inconcievable. Heck, that many immunocompromised kids who happened to have covid at the time they died.
Context for what that police barrier was for?
The left and right are two heads of a hydra. Very easily to get distracted fighting a head than the heart.
It's the same story from the dawn of time. It's why white people will unironically call for the genocide of their own race. It's why affluent college students call tax people as wealthy as them into the ground:
They always think it'll only happen to other people.
Tinfoil hat time: The only way to kill this properly is to have it fail a vote in the commons. Pulling it before a vote (which was rather imminent) only means they can bring it back once they've bought enough favours to get it through.
Of course they are. Women are group creatures who are afraid to have their own thoughts without putting it through a consensus filter first and making sure they agree with the group.
Who else would follow the Party so doggedly?
There are many who are resigned to the idea that disaster is incoming, so that's worth preparing for.
Here we go again.
If you were solid in your beliefs then you wouldn't need to misrepresent dissenting opinions and then come whining to us.

And yet, you're still browsing it. A fairly obscure part of it, too.

So I was right - you wanted us to do a bunch of groupthink and come to your defense. Console you when you were met with an argument you evidently couldn't defeat and so had to come here and misrepresent. Well sorry, I'm not here to play. You can convince yourself of whatever you please, but don't expect us to go on the same morally righteous crusades as the people we criticise.

Not censoring

Removing posts.
You can only pick one.
Inb4 "But they're bad posts that deserve it" - censorship is still censorship. Let the community decide what is relevant, not the jannies. Or do you need reminding why KiA2 split off in the first place?
Read the thread. He rather explicitly says he would mind.
We doing mindless and irrelevant reddit now? Why still give them pageviews?
As for the actual content, he doesn't argue in favor of human sacrifice, nor does he say he wouldn't mind if it happened to him (quite the opposite, in fact) - he merely stands by his moral relativist ideal that there isn't an objective metric about whether it's morally right or wrong.
OP, what exactly were you trying to achieve in posting this? It almost seems to me that you're trying to provoke some groupthink or mob reaction out of us. Either send us after the guy or have us console you because you can't process that you disagree with him. I sincerely hope your intentions were more noble than that, but you're not giving me much to go on here.
Jesus dined with lepers.

That's what I mean. For Metro, a clasutrophobic horror series set in the very interesting environment of the post-war Moscow Metro, literally noone asked for the next entry in the series to be "open-world" and set in a field in the middle of nowhere. It was fantastic as a linear game where the devs could intricately design all parts of it.
But now all the kiddies see "open world" and think that's how the game should be. They see "coop" and can't shut up about how cool a multiplayer mode will be. Forcing Metro away from where it's best and to be just like every other game released in the past decade.
Believe me, I could ramble for hours about how much of a mess Metro Exodus was compared to 2033 and Last Light, but it in particular did stick out as a game which decided to jump out of its niche (and what made it great) to try be like every other game we've seen in the past 5 years.
Unfortunately judging by some chatter I see on the discord server, Exodus brought in a generation of kiddies who see buzzwords like "open-world" and "multiplayer" and jump at them without any regard for how good of a game they will be, which doesn't bode well for future releases.
I talk like I'm old but I literally only discovered the franchise last year and even I can tell that 2033 and LL were just that much better, and I know it's not nostalgia talking.
Who gives a shit about Reddit?
None of you should still be giving them pageviews.
CW and Batwoman though.
Will be total trash. The lead actress jumped ship after one season when she could see the garbage it was.
He's welcome to lead the way.
What's that? He's too important to the cause for such matters? It's only other people who should be dying? Shocker..
