I purposely avoid the internet as much as possible on this day for that reason. I did see one about an Andy Griffith Show reboot. Also, when I was in 6th Grade my class pranked me by telling me I won some sort of contest and was selected to be in a movie with Eddie Murphy
I heard the Bridgerton one wasn’t even in the books and typical Netflix added it. Granted I haven’t read the books but I know it wasn’t super diverse like the show. Imagine bucking the trend and having a woman who “became lesbian” in her late teens falls in love with a man in her 30s.
My dad was in the oil industry in the 80s and early 90s and I asked him why he didn’t tell us about the exciting life of the oil business. My brother made the same commentary about Yellowstone. He said it’s good but I wonder if I would’ve liked this in the 90s. Like you said with so much garbage out there now it’s not hard to make something that stands out
I love PKD books and get your point but a lot of those people use the term because they find the movie offensive to a modern woke audience. I get things can be dated but I am pretty retro so I like that lol. I guess I should have said I find that term annoying when they say it because it offends the woke crowd.
Yea I just usually see it said when something from the past offends modern audience sensibilities. I’m able to understand when something was made or set and enjoy it. Like the uproar over Gone With the Wind a few years ago was silly.
You are right though
He is risen indeed. Thst is great to hear!
