And people are so clueless about inflation or the Fed. Add to that the braindead media pumping out articles about how high inflation is a good thing or the economy is actually great but we are too stupid to see it.
I've been wondering this about the normies a lot and of course a video has come out confirming my prejudices. I'm not going to pull a Hasan Piker or anything like that when it comes to social commentary because yes inflation has put everyone in the shit, job prospects are extremely low and insurance costs especially are fucked.
At the same time and of course I have to point out, I've been shocked at how much people are allegedly spending on shit. Skills like cooking drastically cut down on food costs, maybe don't go on the expensive holidays quite as much the moment it's summer and especially if you're a woman don't piss away your money at the hairdressers. I looked at somebody I knew very differently by the way when I found out how much she was spending and women spend a lot, it's insane.
Car insurance is something I've bitched about on a personal level, that's just a blatant rip off so no wonder younger generations are no longer learning how to drive. There are a lot of people though who seem to be trying to larp living the high life beyond their means and it's biting them in the arse and you can tell. Most of these normies as suspected are all one crisis a way from a full breakdown and they're in denial about it, or more annoyingly they jump on the let's blame capitalism bandwagon while they're going out and buying overpriced stanley cups or pickups.
When you do the maths by the way, it's pretty fucking shocking the difference in the cost of living. Yes the countries you'll end up in are poorer, but if you have no problem doing remote work and can escape, I can see exactly why men especially who are capable of it are doing it.
You are right and I have debt I’m paying off due to stupid decisions when I was younger. Have a good job but also do surveys on the side to make a little extra and I house sit in the summer so that is some extra cash as well. But I’ve learned the hard way how quickly eating out can add up. Thankfully I do a hybrid at work so I only have to be in the office twice a week so that saves on gas. You are right, there are things that can be done
