Oh, I see, so you want less food produced domestically and you want tariffs that will obviously inspire other countries to match them and make sure foreign food is more expensive as well.

It's like you fucking want your family to starve.

I didn't copy-paste myself; that would have taken a lot longer than just typing out the thing. If I did type it verbatim - which I doubt, but haven't bothered to check - I guess it's because it's the same thought in the same voice.

I have a feeling you've communicated the same idea twice in your life. What a fucking ridiculous thing to bitch about.

The thing about "muh neon-nazzes" is that they're not imaginary, friend. I'm talking to one right fucking now.

Who apparently has a military brat background, even if he was unfit to actually serve. You're not exactly making a strong case that the military isn't a fertile breeding ground for shitheads who want to murder everyone who isn't just like them.

Nigger, if I were Jewish I'd tell you. If I were gay, I'd tell you. I don't hate Jews or gays, so if I were those things, I'd have absolutely no reason not to just be like "yeah I'm a gay Jew."

But as it happens, I'm a white Western European guy. My dad's side of the family is Southern Baptist slaveowners from England and Scotland who go back to well before the Revolution. My mom's side of the family are atheistic French and Italian immigrants who fled WW1 and the Depression. My parents decided I could pick my own religious beliefs and I stopped going to church when I was eight.

And, my dick gets hard when I look at naked women and not when I look at naked men. Not something I'm bragging about, just something that happens. Don't know what to tell you, man. I'm just not in those identity categories.

I said something similar a couple days ago, yeah. Good eye.

It's a pet peeve. Whenever anyone says "strawman" or "in good faith" or a handful of other similar catch phrases, they never fucking know what they're talking about. They have no fucking idea what those words mean. It's pretentious corpo-speak that people fall back on when they can't think of anything else to say, and it's gross.

You have to be a special kind of retard to think anyone would pay people to post here of all places.

2
Hematomato 2 points ago +2 / -0

As much as anyone who's not in the military, I guess. Two of my best friends from high school were military and I got a pretty clear picture. One of them's dead now.

Are you a soldier, friend?

That's such a facile stance to take until you're broke and hungry.

There's no government that's going to actually deport half our agricultural workforce, because they know that two months later a starving mob would have their heads on pikes.

Hematomato 1 point ago +1 / -0

Oh, yeah, we'll just set prices to whatever we think they should be, what a great idea.

Hematomato 1 point ago +1 / -0

I think that comment's really interesting, honestly. Yeah, absolutely the loudest "anti-racist" people, the ones in gated communities, don't have any minority friends - just token pets to make them feel smug. And, yeah, anti-racist people are fucking racist, no question about it.

But then there's the weird category of people who are racist-but-not-racist. I've met plenty of them. Where they're like "You can never trust a nigger!" and I'm like "Um, I couldn't help but notice that like half your friends are black people," and they're like "Well yeah, 'cause those are good niggers, you gotta know the difference," and I'm like... okay

I definitely prefer that kind of person, even if their worldview rarely makes any coherent sense.

But the worst category of people of all are the ones isolated from minority groups who also hate minority groups. Those people are just fucking evil. And dangerous.

No, she's not claiming that. That's the point. The author of this article, and you, really want her to be claiming that, and you consider it barely an inconvenience that she isn't. You can just pretend.

what is she even talking about?

Her desire to further diversify Canada's Armed Forces, because a non-diverse army will inevitably create shitty cultures of ignorance and hate.

lol, this is 2026. People on the Internet don't change each others' minds. They've divided into two bubbles and won't let even the faintest glimmer of reason penetrate their bubble.

That's no reason not to just say what I think, though. The goal isn't to get you to agree with me; that would be insane. I'm well aware that your mind is lost to partisanship. The goal is to just say it.

Yeah, Homan's a hardliner who wants to flood the whole country with ICE agents, but even he's gotta face reality eventually. Yelling "everyone who ain't white gotta go home" is all fun and games until food prices more than triple.

You think I'm slandering the hypothetical Canadian military composed entirely of Neo-Nazis that Louise Arbour's trying to avoid? Um, sure.

The actual Canadian military's only 69% white men, which is good, because it makes you a lot less likely to become a Neo-Nazi when you're training alongside someone who isn't exactly like you.

2
Hematomato 2 points ago +2 / -0

Are you seriously claiming that Canada only recruits white boys who like guns? Because last I checked, Canada's armed forces were only 69% white men.

Which is a good thing, because if you have to serve with someone who's not a white man, you're less likely to develop that "everyone who's not a white man must die or become a slave" mentality that's so prevalent here.

Um, Louise Arbour's a woman. A 79-year-old woman, at that.

But, yeah, she wants more DEI in the military, because she doesn't want a military composed entirely of Neo-Nazis. Because - let's face it - they want to kill fucking everybody who isn't them. It's kinda dangerous for a country to keep a bunch of heavily armed Neo-Nazis on the payroll; eventually they might slip their leash.

Nope. That's the Southern Baptist side of my family. They believed that in 2347 B.C., a guy named Ham once saw his dad get naked and pass out drunk, so his dad cursed his son's bloodline for all eternity. That was all the justification they needed to own people.

2
Hematomato 2 points ago +2 / -0

Dishonest article.

Arbour said this in a 2022 interview:

"The military could use external partners like the Canadian Human Rights Commission. It could also bring in experts from the civil corporate sector or send cadets to civilian universities, where diversity is years ahead of what we'll ever see in military colleges. If you just recruit white boys who like guns but don't like women or anybody who doesn't look like them, you'll perpetuate that culture."

Dishonest journalism like Juno news just slashes it down to one sentence fragment and says she was calling soldiers names.

lol. We are very much not. The last time a black person asked anything of me at all was, well, to pay her for sex, but I declined.

Oh, fuck, Lewy body dementia. I just lost a father-in-law to that and that has to be the single worst way to go. Everything about you that you could ever be proud of is gone, you end up screaming that the crypt is opening and the snakes are pouring out, and your family struggles to remember you as anything but a lunatic asshole pissing his diapers.

Robin Williams had the right idea when he killed himself upon getting diagnosed with that.

Even if you hated this guy, I don't think you need to wish a "rest in piss" on him. He's already been through Hell.

More broadly, people who tend towards the "alt-right" seem to be getting increasingly nutty these days. I even see it on this forum.

Because the "alt-right" was always just a reaction.

In 2013, the Right was in shambles. Obama had been easily re-elected, and all neoconservativism seemed to offer was a losing forever war against Islam abroad, and a losing forever war against homosexuality at home.

And then 2014 happened and Woke was born. Michael Brown and Elliot Rodger and GamerGate all happened practically back-to-back, and liberals on Tumblr started saying "We're tired of Obama's centrist bullshit and we want a great wave of equity and reform," and it spread out from there to every corner of the Internet and then into real life.

And the alt-right was an immediate reaction to Woke. It was "Okay, we don't even know what we're for anymore, but we sure as fuck know what we're against, and this is it, right here."

Well, now it's twelve years later. Woke is kinda dead, the Left is playing defense and now they're just reacting; and the president the alt-right helped get elected is a magnificent fuckup who's failing in every possible way a president can fail.

Of course they're going crazy. There's nowhere to go but crazy. They don't have any unifying principles and their common enemy is on the back foot, so now all they can do is rant and rave about demons.

But, not to worry. We're gonna have a couple Democratic wave years, and then they can go back to condemning the politicians in power and they'll seem somewhat unified and coherent again.

It definitely appears that the Trump admin is manipulating the market.

What surprises me is that it working. Trump announces "We're close to a deal" and people buy millions in oil stocks - why? Who believes this fucker? Virtually everything he says he's going to do, he doesn't.

If you're day-trading based on minute-to-minute activity on Truth Social, you kind of deserve to lose all your money.
