CNN founder Ted Turner, a pioneer of cable TV news, dies at 87 | CNN
Ted Turner, the media maverick and philanthropist who founded CNN, a pioneering 24-hour network that revolutionized television news, died peacefully Wednesday, surrounded by his family, according to a news release from Turner Enterprises. He was 87.
Oh, fuck, Lewy body dementia. I just lost a father-in-law to that and that has to be the single worst way to go. Everything about you that you could ever be proud of is gone, you end up screaming that the crypt is opening and the snakes are pouring out, and your family struggles to remember you as anything but a lunatic asshole pissing his diapers.
Robin Williams had the right idea when he killed himself upon getting diagnosed with that.
Even if you hated this guy, I don't think you need to wish a "rest in piss" on him. He's already been through Hell.
The reason people would wish Rest In Piss on him is because he founded CNN, but outside of that, he's actually rather non-'controversial'.
He also founded Turner Classic Movies, so that kind of balances it out.
Yea they still show uncut old movies but some of the new hosts feel the need to lecture before the movie about what we should find offensive
A lot of the hatred sent his way were strays aimed at Jane Fonda too. People hated him because of her, and eventually forgot the reason but always remembered that they hated him.
