That's such a facile stance to take until you're broke and hungry.
There's no government that's going to actually deport half our agricultural workforce, because they know that two months later a starving mob would have their heads on pikes.

I wish i was younger. Automation is a thing. 1 man and machines can run a whole mcdonakds by themselves. Theres automated farm equipment too.
There is some automated farm equipment, yes. But we still require about 3.5 million farm workers, and about 2.5 million of them are non-citizens.
And the idea that we'll just make lots of better robots really fast is just, you know, dipshittery. If we could do that, we'd have already done it. Don't get me wrong, it'll happen, but probably not for like 50 years.
