Why the hard pivot into suddenly mandating it and going for vax-passports and the like once they are in power, then?
Heartbreak Hotel
Because unlike the other side, we actually do recognize that death by misinformation and succumbing to fear is ultimately a tragedy. Even when it happens to those who oppose us.
And also, myocarditis.
... Holy shit, this whole time I thought it was referring to Janissaries. Like, the censors are slave-soldiers, going out to slay enemy ideas for the sake of the masters who own them down to their souls. They aren't just slaves, they are happy and fulfilled in their enslavement, and will spread the oppression around with a great big shovel.
To play devil's advocate (Shitposter's advocate? Stormfag's advocate? Niggerfaggot's advocate?) ...
I think a lot of it, maybe most (but yes, not all.) is just shitposters shitposting. And I think it can have at least one positive effect of keeping the normies out. A place that becomes mainstream will invite the bland, corporatized, middle-seeking cancerous dreck that so poisons the modern media landscape. See: Youtube, before Google buy-out Vs. Now.
A good old internet hate-machine may be no good for informing the normies, but it is a good place for everyone else.
Essentially, there's a barrier to entry that creates a positive selection pressure: Only those who are capable of withstanding the shitpost may thrive here. Lolcows and normies will ultimately leave, after entertaining the masses with their rage for a short time.
It's 8 hours long. The normies will look at it and go "Hurr, long vid bad."
The normies have ill-used and fragile minds. You need to make the content more compatible with their level of comprehension. Think of it as a mama-bird predigesting food for its young.
Clip the red pills, put them in a compilation, maybe with some shitty music and some cancerous laugh-cry emojis, edit it so it looks like it was filmed vertically on a phone. Maybe throw in some MLG horns and green-screen meme reactions between the more potent points.
And then put the original stream as a source right at the top of your description, as a pinned comment... and inevitably in a hundred other places when the normies start shrieking "UM, SOURCE PLEASE, THIS NOT VALID" anyway, because normies gonna normie.
man, at first I thought you meant Loop Hero and I was ready to give a pretty solid rec, but...
Yeah no, this is the first I've heard of Deathloop, and every sign points to 'Nope' as far as it goes.
Treadmills, mostly.
ah, yes... They have an astounding 3416 active cases statewide. In a state with a population of roughly 896,000 people...
And the huge disproportionate amount of cases is in Minnehaha county, not Meade, where the rally happened. A county that is in fact on the opposite side of the fucking state to where the rally happened.
Mind you, that probably has more to do with population density than anything, Minnehaha is the most populated county while Meade is all small-town. But still.
Meade county has gone from 4 new cases a day to 15 new cases a day... I... suppose that's a four-fold increase, sure. Still makes the headline wrong... And not exactly an apocalypse in either case.
Hence why it's only appropriate that those two things are broken by the inclusion of mRNA.
I think it's a meme in the /pol/-flavored parts of 4 and 8-chan that the evil bastards who are behind everything take a sick pleasure in telling the public exactly what they're doing. Being blatantly, cartoonishly evil, and obvious about it... And reveling in how the willingly blind will only think them even more saintly for it.
the saddest words of tongue or pen, indeed...
I work in the kitchen, so.... not likely :P
Right now I'm looking into helping out some friends who run a meat-rabbit ranch, possibly get myself some work with a place that doesn't cotton to this sort of bullshit. I'll be fine, don't worry about me.
Oh certainly. And I know for a fact I'm not the only one who'll be leaving. Roughly a third of the nursing staff, a quarter of the wait staff, and fully half of the kitchen staff (including the terrifying dragon of a middle-aged lady who more or less single-handedly keeps the entire food system running) are going out with me. And like I said, I found out about this because I was researching up weapons to give to the people who have admitted they're staying... because I've been talking to them about my decision to stand firm.
Like most nursing homes, this place is always understaffed... and about a third of its staff is going to walk out at once over this. I have my doubts that the place is going to survive.
Which... honestly is sad. The residents here are amazing people, I take pride in helping them. But the management are detached from reality, as most management is, and are more concerned with looking good and providing the illusion of safety, than actually caring for their charges.
The fedposter in me is tempted to say that the best pills for it come in 9 millimeter or .44 calibur :P
I've got a few rancher friends who are mostly self-sufficient... I'm thinking that once I lose my job, I might just go hat-in-hand to them, do some honest work with 'em and learn to live off the land from them. Drop out of society as much as I can and just... wait for this to burn itself out. Or at least be out of the splash zone if things degrade farther.
I think that might be the best 'treatment' right now. Try to preserve sane society as best we can, by separating out from the crazies into our own communities, and defend them to the death while the crazies burn themselves out.
eh, I get paid bi-weekly and last week was payday. Doubt I could hold off on it that long, specially not for a lawyer I'd probably spend most of that paycheck on
My best guess is, if I don't sign the document, I get kicked out then and there instead of in a month when they begin actually enforcing the policy, so I don't get a month of safety to find myself a new job. Not a huge deal. I'll be picking the thing through looking for any hidden nastiness and if it's anything beyond what I've been told it is, I'll walk then and there no problem.
This whole thing is a panic. People are scared of The Variants and all the propaganda, and they're letting bad actors trample all over them and their rights in the name of making the Scary Thing go away. It's pretty similar to 9/11 and the PATRIOT act, and the ridiculous security theater airlines go through to this day. It's horrifyingly invasive, woefully ineffective, but it makes people feel safe, and we all know how important those precious feelies are...
My job is putting in a vaccine mandate just now. All employees must get the jab, and anybody new coming in must show proof of vaccination as a condition to be hired. Come tomorrow, I'll have to go meet with one of the management staff and sign a document acknowledging that I am aware of this policy (which to my mind sounds like another layer of legal protection against wrongful termination lawsuits, on top of the EEOC's okay-ing of vaccine mandates.)
The new policy is coming into place next month.... I've already told my manager, he has that long to find a replacement for me to train up, because I'm not getting the jab.
I work in a retirement home, but I hear that this kind of policy is going up pretty much all over health care jobs. There's a supposed shortage of qualified nurses right now, but that's utter bullshit... There are plenty of nurses out there. There just aren't all that many who are willing to capitulate to mandated vaccination (and the utter bullshit conditions being put on health workers right now)
The place I work at is gonna lose about a third of its staff to this mandate, because a lot of us there are refusing to capitulate.
Suppose that the diminishing effect isn't because of new mutations, but is a consequence of the jab's mechanism. Maybe this type of treatment simply doesn't stay active in the body for very long.
If we can find evidence of this being the case, it would be evidence for a Marek's scenario being the plan.
