It's only people in the west that seem to have this problem. Go to fucking Japan and ask them what they think of westerners liking anime, sushi, and kimonos, and they're fucking ecstatic that people overseas enjoy their culture.
I read somewhere that it's second- or later generation immigrants. They lack a cultural identity (they don't belong to the home country unlike their parent, and they don't belong to america either) so they search for something else. Social Justice is chosen because all you have to do to enter is being "diverse" and/or a complete and utter cunt.
Probably some truth to that, id say its also cause a lot are in those echo chamber leftist cities not to mention surrounded by the propaganda from education and media and without their parent's better understanding of the world. (Though my situation is different, the 3rd generation is more pro west and pro freedom than the 2nd one lol. i can't speak for other asians though. )
