Fill it full of agenda and it won't though. I've been disappointed in my PS4 anyway. All these exclusives I'm supposed to drool over feel a lot like yet-another third person action adventure game and they seem to really be shifting to SJW nonsense. Is the whole reason for a PS5 going to be nothing more than a bunch of third person social-agenda games? Would make it an easy pass I guess.
I really liked Horizon: Zero Dawn. A lot of people bitch because "woke" because Aloy came from a matriarchal society, they always forget the other two societies you encounter are ran by men.
I hate to admit it, by Horizon: Forbidden Wests, may be a sytem seller for me.

You got me thinking about Game Pass. I've got it for a $1 upgrade for another 18 months or so and I didn't ever look at the value.
Year-to-date games I've played that I enjoyed or put a decent amount of time in: A Plague Tale, Prey, F1 2019. That's the whole list. Wow, I'm surprised. About $30 of games (at sale prices) all of which I would have otherwise just bought. So, I guess when the time comes to decide whether to pay for it or not I'll have to be sure to look at that more because I'm not keeping it at that price.
Been trending away from this entertainment as a service mindset anyway. I nixed Netflix and while it would be cool and pompous to strut about saying it was over Cuties, the fact of the matter is it was because I wasn't using it and wasn't excited about any of the content. Politics was secondary. I may quit all of it and just buy stuff I want when I want it. The fact of the matter is the movie I watched most recently was American Sniper and the game I'm playing the most right now is f-ing ancient Xenoblade Chronicles. I'm too normal (or abnormal depending on perspective) for these services.
I'll give it a shot sometime. I've always wanted to do a "up-and-comer" type career thing and the closest I've ever gotten in Project Cars and that was before I got a steering wheel. That games seems to be designed to not work with a wheel very well it's the most uncontrollable nonsense. Oh and yeah that's atrocious cuckery...wow.
Yeah I don't think so either. I'm really so invested in the Xbox platform and have an old Xbox One with a noisy power supply that I've just put off the upgrade on for so long. Steering wheels, controllers, etc all things I have for Xbox--so it's a no brainer. Hell, I'm more interested in some of the enhanced patches for older games than upcoming stuff. So much has lost it's sense of fun.
PS4 was something I picked up a couple summers ago for cheap in a bundle and I've pretty much bought every game I'd want for it on digital sales for $10 or less. I really only play exclusive stuff on it. I'm interested enough in a couple games like a God of War sequel that I might would be a buyer earlier than before--but if it's just a SJW box then I won't have to bother. More money for something else.
More money for building a real fucking PC and getting all the games anyways ON TOP OF modding the fuck out of them.
I've been down this road before and I just don't care to be involved in the PC building, gaming, modding, etc. experience. It's nothing to do with ability or money. I worked for a decade as a hardware tech even for a couple years where my job was literally repair and rebuilding PCs. I could build a PC with one hand tied behind my back. Even now I sit at my desk all day screwing with technical stuff all day long.
I've found no one ever actually seems to understand this but when work is over I want to not be at a desk and not screw around with this type stuff anymore. I thought about PC hooked up to TV at one point but then I've gotta screw with controller profiles for games that aren't supposed to have them or try to balance a mouse and keyboard in my lap on the couch. I just want to play games and don't care how many pixels are being rendered or how many FPS I have. Consoles are kinda perfect for that.
FWIW I haven't had any problems at all with Steam in Big Picture Mode and a controller. Most stuff coming out these days seems to have pretty good controller support.
I can understand not wanting to monkey around on a machine. For that, there's pre-built systems. Consoles themselves have become rather fiddly, I've had to reinstall the OS on my PS4 twice already with updates occasionally locking everything up.
Or, well, you know. Pay money to people who will use that money to lobby hate campaigns against you and test your mental armor to finally find an opening to shove their cultural marxism propaganda.
I've had a few things work pretty well with a controller. It's certainly improving compared to how it used to be. I hate playing with all the damn settings the most. I tried the new flight sim game and it decides I can run on something like "high" at 4K. Uh yeah the computer I have would be an instant laughing stock to most any PC people, so no it won't do that. I ended up playing around with graphics settings for an hour and it's sort of ok. I'd really just rather someone else do that for me. I don't mind building PCs at all it's the getting games to work. Haha, maybe that's why all the PC gamers want the most insane system then at least don't have to tweak graphics settings.
I do try to avoid giving money to places I hate their views on, but it's just gotten impossible to have any fun and do that. I think I'd be stuck with a huge collection of guns and that's about it I'm a straight white male, everyone hates me. I've mainly decided to avoid the egregious stuff (e.g. TLOU2, the NFL, etc.) and continue to be a cheapskate with games. There's no one at any of these companies that's drooling over my "wait for your $60 game to be on sale for $10" and "never buy all this cosmetic BS" mindset. I generally wait for a deal on everything gaming and I might even decide to try to fix my existing Xbox at some point and wait on that--we will see.
Great idea. Its only taken well over a decade to even get a semi working emulator on the Xbox consoles, and as we know all games are super easily moddable and have teams working around the clock to get the exact mod you need if you aren't capable of doing making it yourself.
