I wouldn't be surprised if some blue check tries to get him charged with interfering with a flight attendant, which carries with it a $25,000 fine.
The whole thing is dumb, but like that guy a couple years ago that got dragged kicking and screaming off the plane, there are some battles you aren't going to win. Best bet would be for someone to have a panic or asthma attack requiring medical care while wearing a mask and sue the airline. The left induces these sorts of quasi-staged actions all the time to advance their agenda: maybe the right needs to start doing so.
Whatever you think about this pandemic, there's no question in my mind that both the public reaction and the media coverage would have been completely different under a democrat president.
This is silly: yes, masks are dumb, and the guy may be a hero, but what do these two have to do with each other? In what way do this guy's military exploits affect whether or not he's exempt from an airline's policies?
Put it this way, everyone puts their pants on one leg at a time. Everyone is born the same way and everyone will die. Just because he killed an asshole doesn't make him king of the Americans and he can do whatever the F he wants. If Delta requires you to wear a mask, then you wear a mask. If you don't like it, don't fly Delta, its a free country. Its the same thing as no shoes, shirt or pants no service - unless she's got a DD's in which case the shirt is now optional.
He's an entitled moron. Nothing has done more to spread and prolong this pandemic than the airlines - even Cuomo's biological warfare against his own constituents wouldn't have been as deadly if New Yorkers hadn't then spread the disease across the country. Wearing a mask while contributing to this massive threat vector is the least you can do.
Masks made some sense months ago when we were dealing with a lot of spread and didn't know how not deadly the disease was.
Now the pandemic is virtually over and we know the disease isn't as easily spread as we thought & it has a >99% survival rate, mandatory mask rules are really stupid.
Let’s use Fauchi’s “gold standard” I’ve never seen a placebo controlled double blind study proving the efficacy of a simple cloth mask in preventing or even reducing the transmission of any respiratory virus, much less COVID-1984.
If you know of any such study please share the link and I’ll edit my original statement.
COVID is sub-micron in size. The only masks that can actually filter it are N95 rated or better. Your dumb little bandana isn't doing a fucking thing to stop it.
If you want to protect yourself, then that's your thing. The N95 will work, but only if you do the entire cleansing ritual: washing hands, regularly changing PPE in new rooms/buildings, not touching the mask or other clothes, proper don and doff, etc. The only person who can protect you is you.
There is no bullet proof way to protect yourself, I use wipes when I'm out and wash fruits I eat raw. Its more about reducing the viral load you are exposed to so if you do come in contact your body isn't behind the 8 ball building up an immune response.
The idea of masks is to reduce thick particulate matter (sputum) from contacting surfaces and foods. I mean when I look at my monitor, after I cleaned and before, its pretty damn obvious when I'm coughing I'm spitting out lugies and it sure doesn't seem like it to me.
Airlocks, hazmat suits, and clean air supplies have been perfect thus far, when used properly with the associated cleansing rituals. It's up to every individual to do their own risk assessment and weigh the costs of reducing it.
Spez: Kriegers don't catch wuflu, although they wouldn't care if they did.
I just want businesses to start banning all the masks and distancing garbage. Put a little no-mask sign in your store window, take down all the plexiglass barriers and jsut run your store as if everything is normal. I'll show up with a fistful of money and buy product to financially incentivize a return to normalcy. It's why I never canceled payments for my martial arts class when the coach initially was adamant that we wouldn't be closing for the virus and he only had to shut down because the property owners closed the building out from under him. We started back up a couple months ago when restrictions lifted to "oh you can do outdoor classes" and that immediately fell off into us just having normal classes, full contact sport with zero precautions. It's been great to have that island of sanity in the sea of madness. We need more of that.
The time to stop this disease spreading was in January when the FDA banned testing, and it may have already been here. It has nothing to do with masks. We reacted 3-6 months too late.
Have you worn a mask at all times during other pandemics you've lived through? Do you support legal mandates requiring people to wear condoms or prohibiting anal sex to prevent the spread of AIDS?
A legal mandate to wear condoms for the general population is an existential threat to humanity. It's not the same thing as wearing a mask while on public transport with hundreds of random strangers.
Why can't you mandate condoms when the couple isn't married? Or ban homosexual sex (specifically anal, which is at particularly high risk of transmitting HIV/AIDS and by definition is non-procreative)? Neither of those things are an existential threat to humanity.

Does everyone else not command their pants up after stepping into them? My pants know who wears the pants in this house.
could have fooled me

WHO says there is no need for healthy people to wear face masks: http://archive.is/tUBFS

Masks don’t do shit.
Interesting so for a respiratory disease, it doesn't do anything.

Good thing I bought N95 masks about 2 months before the quarantine.

If you're still scared of the sniffles then hide in your house and never leave. The rest of us are tired of this horseshit.
It literally hurts my head to think about how our lives are being upended by a virus that has a 99.95% survivability rate.
