COPmala was legit the most vile & awful person running in the Dem primary. Other than Stacey Abrams I can't think of a more terrible choice, even Susan Rice & Ducksworth would've been better.

The fact he wasn't even considering Tulsi (a WoC, war vet, & member of a minority religion) shows the Dems don't actually give a shit about feminism, racism, religious discrimination etc.

Plus Tulsi could actually appeal to Trump-leaning voters. No moderate is going to be swayed by Harris.

What are the odds Biden meant the 80s WWF wrestler Kamala The Ugandan Giant but didn't know he just died?

The Dem party apparatus would rather self-destroy than give unorthodox semi-outsiders a lick of power and influence.

I mean, that might actually be a good thing. The last thing the country needs is people like AOC, Omar, Tlaib, and the rest of their squad holding any more power than they already do.

The Boomer Left are the only thing preventing SJWs from assuming full control of the party. So far, they have been putting up a good fight to maintain control. I'm pretty sure the Boomer Left is the part of the party responsible for the Harris VP pick. No way in hell an SJW would have picked her.

While I agree that Gabbard isn't as bad as Harris let's not go too far, her stance on reparations and gun rights already makes her unelectable for anyone who's already considering Trump.

That said, Harris really was the worst of the supposed major contenders in the primaries and so utterly unable to attract votes that she flamed out before even reaching Iowa. I am stunned that the Dems have now chosen her to be their de-facto presidential candidate, and stunned even more that anyone on r/politics or elsewhere thinks she'd last a second against Mike Pence after her atrocious performance against Gabbard in the 2nd Democratic debate.

Harris vs Gabbard was two DNC women "of color" debating though, so people actually kinda listened to what they were saying for once and realized Harris is a huge dumbass. The second Pence opens his mouth the media will just start screeching "HE'S A WHITE MALE!!!" and it won't matter what anybody actually says.

Harris is still an appallingly bad candidate though. I'm really surprised they chose her. I was almost convinced they were going to announce Michelle Obama, with the way Spotify has been shilling her new podcast lately.

Honestly Susan Rice would've been better. The only 2 black women worse would be Stacey Abrams & Karen Bass.

Pence can just ask "Why are you the running mate for a man you believe is a racist who committed sexual assault?"

Gabbard had the "how about we don't bomb the middle-east" stance. To many begrudging Trump supporters, this was all that mattered.

Kamala Harris not just bad, she's fucking evil. She's a dirty prosecutor. Prosecutors who intentionally persecute innocent people for political gain while knowing that they are innocent are the absolute most abominable humans on Earth. I genuinely put her on the same moral level as infant rapists.

She is abominable creature who, if she had even the smallest sense of ethics, would do best to off herself, and I will never take that back.

On top of all of this, Kamala was already pre-selected by Hillary Clinton to win the nomination. She was supposed to beat Joe Biden in the debates and win the nomination until Tulsi shot her in the fucking face, which she RICHLY FUCKING DESERVED.

sigh Wrote a huge thing but hit cancel instead of submit...

Agree 100%. The reason I called her "the most vile & awful person running in the Dem primary" is precisely because of her withholding evidence clearing a man sitting on death row.

There's no other Dem primary candidate even close. NAP Liz is a shameless opportunist & stealing something meant for non-white people is pretty nasty but as Tucker pointed out she used to have some pretty good economic ideas that would really help people. I think Bernie is a good person whose ideas come from wanting to help people, even if I think many of them are wrong. Mayor Pete is pretty pathetic but I don't think I'd even rate Ratboy as a "bad person". Bloomberg? Maybe not a good person but probably no worse than your typical billionaire, Amy had some bad stories about her but I'm not sure how true they are and while you could argue they made her a bad person she's certainly not EVIL. I think Yang & Tulsi are truly good people. The rest I'm pretty ambivalent to.

Imagine what someone would have to do to you personally to make you willing to let them be executed for a crime you know they didn't commit...rape your granny and get away with it? But for Cop-mala is was just to keep her numbers up.

Bro, you gotta type that shit out on Windows Sticky Notes first.

She's truly evil. I'm not pro police, but they're absolutely a necessary force for some kind of urban density. I don't like people calling her a 'cop' because it genuinely gives Cops a bad name.

The truth here is that she was Hillary's hand picked successor, Tulsi skull fucked her on stage to the point that she never recovered, so they put her in anyway. She was promised the presidency in 2019, and the whole thing has just been a show for the Fabian Socialists to get someone useful into power.

I don't really want to live through more right wingers white knighting Gabbard.

It was a thing. It was more populist-right and libertarian-right that liked her. Her position on gun control wasn't really brought up till later in her campaign.

I think the big draw for her was that she didn't seem insane and is known for being a party outsider. The Dem party got really pissed at her when she refused to endorse Hillary in 2016, for example. If the Dems did end up winning she would have been the least horrible candidate was the logic.

She's also for ending foreign regime-change wars, mandating paper ballots & keeping the Electoral College, said "I don’t support open borders. Without secure borders, we don’t really have a country" & sued Google for their election interference.

What Dem primary candidate do you feel had better gun views? What are their views on the things I mentioned?

You have to look at the big picture- you could easily make the "I can't see how anyone on the right would care for" argument vs Trump if you singled out one of his views.

Back during the primaries, oh yeah. It was fucking sad, and the worst part was that a lot of them just flat out ignored her opinions to continue fapping. The media treated her like dirt and I guess the right wing white knights had to ride out en masse to protect m'lady. Then Hilary called her a Russian agent.

No its not a thing. There was no white-knighting of Tulsi. The only thing that happened is that right wingers were also watching the primary debates and were coming to the obvious conclusion that Tulsi stood the best chance against Trump in a general election. Some never-Trumpers latched onto her, but their opinions are at the absolute height of irrelevance.

Her chances against him in a general election had less to do with her policies, and more on her willingness to sink to Trump's level when debating him, and the relative ease at which she does so.

Tulsi is still getting punished for using her Super Delegate vote for Bernie in 2016.
