Yeah they probably realized it would get them criticism and that's why they would backpedal. Women are extremely weak to groupthink. After more 20 years of "multiculturalism is good!" anime come out their brains will be totally fried.

Probably not. 95+% of women will either refuse to admit error, or admit error, attempt to erase all records of the error and its consequences, and then will keep on making a continuous series of errors.

If a women is raised in an explicitely racist community, she'll see that perspective as "normal".
