That's unironically what leftists, libertarians, and zionist right wingers argue. They say it's fine if your liberties are infringed, so long as it's not government doing so (unless they're in power). They're perfectly fine with any other entity (like private corporations) turning you into a slave with no rights. They think concentration of power is only dangerous when government does it.
They did that private company for all of 2020 and 2021. Oh no the government isn't enforcing your vaccine or your mask. We the government recommend it. The private company can deny your access to their services, fire you from your job, etc. It's their right as a private company. Try to not make a faggot a wedding cake though and see how that goes.
This is the exact argument I got into with my managers during Covid. They were "conservatives", so I asked them: "effectively, what's the difference if the government enforces all of this on us, as opposed to all of the corporations?" They didn't know how to respond and just skirted around the question to try to force the bullshit masks, social distancing, and such.
They're also deliberately ignoring the elephant in the room: NGOs have been circumventing restrictions on government power for decades. Any power we deny our government is at this point quickly outsourced to non-governmental organizations (which are somehow still funded by our tax dollars).

And who owns these "private corporations" I wonder
Villains hide behind the letter of the law in order to violate the spirit of the law.
