Apparently they don't think it's as funny when the same shenanigans they pulled on the OJ jury are pulled on them. Well they better get used to it. Black fatigue has made it to where even sympathetic jurors aren't going to hold their ground with anywhere near as much gusto as they would have a few years ago.
Now it just takes one person like me on the jury to get them to realize a conviction is impossible, and instead of fighting it, they fold like a cheap suit.
I don't see any shenanigans here. I see justice. Well, actually justice would have been a refusal to indict and giving Chow a medal for public service, but this at least is not open injustice.
This isn’t even OJ. The store owner has had to do multiple defensive shootings because his store is in a black neighborhood. It’s zero ability to even rationalize why crime happens in black communities and then blaming everyone but themselves when the inevitable consequences occur.
I actually do kinda see the point here, if someone runs out of your store you really aren't allowed to chase and shoot them--if you're white (haven't there been other store owners who shot armed robbers and were convicted for it?) This is an example of the progressive stack hierarchy clashing. Who wins, American black or immigrant Asian? I'm assuming there were Asians on the jury too who refused to convict one of their own.
Laws are downstream from culture.
Why shouldn't I be allowed to recover my property? Especially in this case, where it's how I pay my bills. If my kids go hungry because of "mere" theft, how is that different from the thief starving them directly?
Right, I mean, if this were Small Town, America and Jimbob's stupid kid Cletus stole a soda from your store, you wouldn't need to shoot him, because you could go to Jimbob's house and he'd whip his own kid for daring such a thing, and then the next week's sermon at church would be about how thieves are the devil incarnate and going to hell, and then Cletus would never dare steal again.
The problem is we have whole towns now of stupid kids & adults who say they should be treated with deference all the time like they were part of your family but also say they aren't like you and in fact they hate you and you're responsible for all the problems in their lives, so they deserve to hurt you as much as they can and you can't complain. So yes in this case, shoot the fucker.
