There's loads of origninal programming if you care to look for it. Seeing the top 40 of TV will make you believe that everything is a reboot, but there's a lot of unique shows being produced.
A show about lesbian degenerates? Really? You use that as a counter-example for woke television?
I literally laughed out loud at this.
Worse yet is that you're proving my point that woke media is so pervasive that even people here will suggest what they consider to be lesser woke shows because of how pervasive it is.
It's a show about a soccer team being stranded and getting into a "lord of the flies" type survival. There is one lesbian couple, but it's not a central plot point at all (the "gayness" of it all)
I used it as an example of a show that isn't just a remake, because I was replying to the comment that spoke about that
What's degenerate? It's not like it's saying that it's better, and it's not presented any more or less perverse than a normal straight relationship.
I mean take Pluribus. Granted, I haven't finished it, but as far as I've seen you're not seeing raucous lesbian sex or anything. It's just two people in a relationship
True, lots of programming and lots of older stuff I’ve never seen which for a retro person like me is great. Growing up in the 80s and 90s I missed out on a ton of those shows alone due to not having access to the remote as often as I wanted. Although I saw an ad for yellowjackets and lgbt stuff isn’t my thing but when I had HBO I did see the first season of Barry and liked it
Oh man, the first season of Barry is great, but the rest of the show is awesome. It gets gritty and raw while still maintaining the humor.
As for Yellowjackets, the one gay relationship is a pretty minor element. Like, the two girls are dating, but there's not much more beyond that in terms of plot. It's just treated like a normal relationship.

Maniac, Barry, Paradise, Severance, Yellowjackets, Shrinking, etc
Or, hear me out... anime.
Live action tv is so infested that it's not worth digging through the trash.
Anime is not my thing, personally. I prefer live action.
There are plenty of options available that I've enjoyed, including rewatches. Going through Breaking Bad again now
Better Call Saul made me hate Walt and Jesse.
Walt, and to a slightly lesser degree Jesse, are both bad people, so they should be hated. I think a show that does that effectively is great

That just highlights my point, since you could use the same excuse for Lionness, Pluribus or Arcane.
"It's not central to the plot"
That's the excuse I see every normie make for accepting more and more degeneracy.
As I said, it's so pervasive a lot of people just accept it and make excuses for it because of how normalised it is.

I have HBO Max now so I may just start Barry from the beginning. I’m also currently going through the original Outer Limits and and the 90s revival
Highly recommend!
