I know some will say this is nit picky or me being sensitive, however the stereotype is women are notorious for being difficult to decide on dinner plans. In this commercial it's of course the man who can't make the decision while proclaiming he's easy to please. And of course the woman rolls her eyes at the camera.
It's a subversion of the female being finicky about dinner trope. I dunno maybe I'm tilting at windmills
15 years ago I would’ve said nit picky but now I can’t blame you for picking up that stuff. Modern entertainment has forced it on us
I don't think it's possible to overstate or be nit-picky when it comes to commercials.
Commercials are the absolute most vile, hateful, intentionally anti-white male crap that exists.
If you think you see some bullcrap in a commercial chances are you did and aren't being sensitive.
I shared this video just now with my parents titling it "ah yes, the age old cliche, men being such picky eaters".
So yeah, it's not nitpicky, it's because the idea of women being hard to pick a restaurant was a running joke for decades, so if you see the opposite it is of course intentional.
The commercial was written by a self conscious woman. She's trying to be funny but her spoiled bitch energy ruined it. I would guess a failed comedienne.
This is the long tail of letting women in the workforce.
Nah you're right. It's all these little things coming together to make you realize it's all intentional.
If rightists controlled academia you'd be able to apply for a grant and write a study about this and be bankrolled for 6 months of work.
But instead you get my orange upvote frend.
