Pretty wild story

• young man with diabetes, vision loss & some nerve pain in his extremities gets approved for suicide in Toronto in 2022
• mom finds the appointment date, calls his doctor's office and gets details pretending to be a patient interested in MAID herself, shames the doc on social media enough to get the doc to back down, saves her son's life for now
• his mental health improves, she gets him his own furnished condo in Toronto with a live-in care aide
• his mental health fluctuates over the next 4 years. He keeps applying for MAID on his own, doctor shopping, getting rejected by other Ontario docs.
• Finally, in Dec '25, he pretends to be going to Mexico on a resort vacation. Instead, it's cover, as he flies from Mexico to the other side of the country in Vancouver, BC. There he meets Canada's Dr. Death, Dr. Ellen Wiebe. She circumvents the 90-day approval process and kills him within days despite him not even living in her jurisdiction. His family finds out he's dead days after the fact.
