I definitely feel bad for the children since they are not* consenting to coming to the country illegally. They are being forced by adults.
I think at a minimum the children need to be assessed for abuse. Many are, and I don't think we should deport children with their abusers. They need to get adopted or put into foster care, some need to be separated from their parents
The media treats any deportation like some great evil and becomes hysterical about “separating families”.
