I don't know the age of Epstein's victims to be honest and I am curious from a legal point of view. Since the age of consent in US varies by state between 16-18 it can be legal if the girl is 17 and happened in NY for instance. Still horrible but you would not be able to prosecute if the girl consented.
Trafficking minors (under 18) across state lines for the purpose of engaging in sexual activity is still a federal felony even if they're above the age of consent in both states.
