The new rules are not set in stone, but hopefully they will do a fairly good job at setting the tone for the community. Thank you again to everyone that contributed to the revision.

You guys did more to benefit the community in a few days than the previous asshole did in 5 years. It's still unclear where the line regarding violence will be drawn but since you guys plan on gentle corrections rather than dropping the hammer I'm not too concerned. As for DOM, good riddance. Fucking off is the best thing you've done for community in half a decade. You will not be missed.
Lol thank you. I take a more forgiving view of Dom's tenure, but all that being said I hope healthy growth will now be possible with a fully staffed mod team.
Did you guys get around to relaxing the community filter? That's probably the biggest obstacle to growth. Keeping something in place to make life difficult for the pajeet is a good idea but shadow banning all new accounts is strangling the place.
BandageBandolier is working on it. Meanwhile, we can see all the shadowbanned comments and manually approve them.

I hope the mods understand what, exactly, the legal standard is for what is or isn't an "illegal threat." Imminence is a required component of the legal test, and 99% of the time what is considered "threats of violence" at most places on the internet don't meet this test.
Hell, even straight up telling someone you're going to kill them online isn't imminent because it's almost always keyboard warrior shit.

The rules are quite clear. Anyone who doesn't have a very, very strange and distorted agenda will be barred from posting here, and courtesy of the new moderation team, these rules will indeed be enforced.

Good shit. My only nitpick remaining would be the "impersonating users" bit. What does that even mean? If it's about making an account with a name that is hard to distinguish from another user's, then whatever. But if it's against the rules to sarcastically rant about natalists or something now, then that is a big hell no from me.
Making new accounts based off existing ones is a simple way of putting it, and it has happened after some users have been so butthurt at being called out they made alt accounts to larp as the one calling them out.

I would find it extremely difficult to argue that a comment posted under your own username could credibly "impersonate" a different username.
Depending on the username and how it is displayed it can be quite easy to fake activity if someone has either capital "i" or lower case L in a name since I and l look similar.
Other than the definition of "impersonate" also including acting like them. There is enough wiggle room that a bad faith actor could weaponize it against us.
Well I mean, that rule also includes the words "harass" and "psycho." It's always going to depend on precedent of enforcement. Just like real laws, I guess.
The former is obvious and just makes sense. The latter shouldn’t really fall under that at all. If someone says, “No, you guys, you don’t understand! All of this is the natalists’ fault!” It’s clearly just mocking TheImpossible1 and not masquerading as her.
That would still fall under the definition of impersonation, even if it is mocking them.
