The sidebar is now updated. I'm going to leave this post stickied for a few days just so everyone can hopefully get on the same page.
The new rules are not set in stone, but hopefully they will do a fairly good job at setting the tone for the community. Thank you again to everyone that contributed to the revision.

Apparently you have never dealt with someone acting in bad faith. Lucky you I guess. I have some news for you though. The high trust society you apparently think we are living in is long gone and has been for years.
