It takes two to Tango. Weak willed men not gatekeeping is also part of it.
Men were mostly forced into it by people more powerful than themselves.
It's the main part. Women didn't do it on their own. Men let them do it. Is actually more men's fault than women's
Back in 2014 gamers, myself included, were trying to defend women in videogames, they just need to not go overboard. I was ok with a little crap but not to much. Journalists are the real issue I was telling myself. Turned a blind eye to all the woke stuff that was already part of the new normal.
We failed to understand how bad it was. We thought people had some good intention and underestimate the sheer hatred of white men that was boiling under the entire industry. They would definitely change their mind if we exposed the hypocrisy we thought.
We failed back then.
