Incompetence, or based saboteur? I hope it's the latter and that there are people tearing down the swamp from the inside. It's more likely the former, but our enemies being incompetent isn't the worst thing either.
Either way, when you include the thousands of pages they unintentionally released, this whole thing has been pretty hilarious.
here's a theory, since the information is technically there can they say that they did in fact release the full Epstein files? therefore complying with the Congressional mandate?
several ways to read this:
Trump wanted things redacted, Bondi fix redaction
Trump wanted things unpredicted, Bondi attempts to redact, subordinates disobey
I'd bet subordinates disobey. They also left the files ready on the server but unlinked at an obvious URL.
The law required their release without redactions. Whoever did this broke no laws. They may have been insubordinate in doing so and may be fired but they'd be fairly difficult to actually prosecute.
How congress ever managed to pass this law in the first place is beyond me. It was absolutely the right thing to do and created results where there would have been none. Usually the opposite of their game.

The government is overwhelmingly staffed by incompetents and non-Whites. It is almost certainly a case of incompetence.
