The margin by which the French lost was smaller than the ''mysterious'' excess of citizenships expeditiously granted in Québec vs the normal rate in the months before the vote.
Only time in the whole history of Canada that Quebec had more new Canadian citizenship granted than Ontario. I'm sure nothing nefarious was going on there, lol.
Of course it wouldn't have mattered if the French in Québec had the sort of spines found in other ethnicities voting 95%+ for their independance.

Alberta is landlocked, I feel like you would be a bad idea for them to be their own Nation unless they could secure territory that leads to a port.
Switzerland is quite successful and is 10% the size
a lot of that is thanks to their status as a safe haven for cash.

They’ll join the US. Albertan provincial government has already begun talks with US officials. They’ll become rich as fuck due to finally being able to exploit their natural resources, and the US won’t just let them sign deals with anyone else.
It's worth a try, doing it "legally" via referendum.
Also: It's probably actually a "plebiscite" which is non-binding. Governments here say one thing but actually do another. Keeps their asses covered.

I'm wealthy and doing very well, better than most Americans, frankly. So I am not keen on giving that up to separate from the retarded east. Maybe after retirement, sure. I've always hated eastern Canada, but timing is everything.
