Hell without an account, on a VPN and blocking all cookies is arguably the better experience on YouTube.
The moment they realize a pattern that shows you're remotely based they start recommending effete soyfags with intellectually deficient false "debunking" takes after every video, in what appears to be a desperate attempt to stop you going off plantation.
Slop is also part of the establishment arsenal, because it's great for muddying the waters and for demoralization. They'll feed you "Libs of Tiktok" compilations all day long, but anything actually insightful, especially if it threatens the bottom lines of large corporations, is always buried.
I've had some of that too, especially if it's a fresh device watching relatively non-spicy content. At least that one seems more benign, "suggest more of the same" is how a content recommendation algorithm is supposed to work for the user on a basic level
But "quick, tell them that actually the opposite of that last video is true!" is an extra level of insidious. Charitably, maybe they're trying to get rage clicks when they do that, or less charitably maybe they literally don't want you to think the "wrong" thing.
Of course. If they tell these companies that they have to enact this for all of their users, all they will get in return is a "get fucked" response as they have no jurisdiction over those companies in other countries. Just like the reponse ofcom got in the UK.
That only leaves the option of doing a region check to enact it in specific regions, which is trivial to bypass. Especially since so many people are already doing it so they can watch shit on netflix that is only available in other countries.
I sure hope those kids get tried as adults for stepping their into terrorist territories...what do you mean they're kids? They bypassed the bowdlerisation barricade! Of course we know best, the elders are always the wisest, we're drippin' with the rizz, yo!
Sounds like a good idea. Kids getting private DMs on facebook always led to abuse by the Nigerian sextortion community pretending to be justin bieber or whoever
I have also always given my kids my old cell phones. I consider it recycling. Even though I'm ad blocked to hell, one of my kids likes ads ( idk what's wrong with him), I can tell the algos haven't figured out multiple people use that account because it shows things all three of us may be interested in.
I find it pretty funny to walk up to my son scrolling past dress ads though.
And they still don't care. This was never about protecting kids. It was always about forcing adults to show their ID before using social media.
Safety is the word you hear right before your liberties recede
i can still access youtube, twitter and reddit to see what i want without an account.
whatever happen, it has zero effect on my life. never even noticed the date already came and went

I've had the opposite experience - watch one "feminist/sjw owned" compilation and that becomes the entire feed.

Digital ID for everyone is the answer. Naturally.
"we just used a VPN"
Its really that simple to bypass eh?

The government doesn't care as they just are after control given ever increasing loss of support.
The teens don't initially care as they have workarounds but foster a growing resentment of the establishment.
The media don't care because they falsely believe this'll make them more relevant again now that alternatives are blocked.
Which is why this policy is useless.

This is what I predicted would happen. My kids were signed in everything as me so I could monitor them.

The satanists love their censorship. The small men love freedom.
Problem is all non-sheeple are aggressively being culled.
