I was initially extremely skeptical of Edge of Tomorrow, but when I eventually watched it I was pleasantly surprised. They did actually justify the middle-aged Tom Cruise playing the role of a green recruit by having him press-ganged into this unit as a punishment for cowardice.
I've never read the manga and that anime looks ugly as sin.

It has been quite a few years, though I remember the manga, All You Need Is Kill, to have been quite good.
I read the manga but i didnt think that much of it
Did it end well? The Cruise film had a weak ending and a couple nihilistic alternatives planned.
Open ended ending iirc. Unlike the cruise film which ended with the alien defeat seemingly
Thanks. I've got so little time to read these days, I'm real hesitant to commit to anything that is less than stellar.
depends on if you like tragedies. cause it's only 2 volumes.
That "anime" is definitely french.
I was going to say, there's no way that's out of Japan. That ugly trash could only come from the modern west
Done by an old Japanese studio from the 80s and directed by Japanese afaict from imdb
That's crazy, I never would have guessed. Outside of the ugliness even the style itself doesn't look Japanese to me
I think I’ve seen art style like this in anime before but it wasn’t very popular and i cant remember the name
Tourist opinion. This is just either studio 4C or Masaaki Yuasa shit. It's been there for ages and it's just a hipster style of anime drawing.
It is 4c
