Believe in original stories? It's a remake of an 80s movie that was originally a play.
Still it's a bit different to see them race swap an Austrian with a Japanese mutt.
Yea I laughed at the believe in original stories part. You know you’d think getting the race for casting a historical figure would be very easy
JJ Abrams had a quote about having a black paratrooper in his WWII zombie movie "Overlord" he said something about creating the past you wish had happened to match present values.
It's weird in the past he was wishing happened, there was a WWII.
What else would his people kvetch about in a world without WWII?

That’s disappointing. Overlord is a pretty good period piece horror movie, although I did register the black lead as agenda casting.
Wyatt Russell is one of the many victims of Hollywood’s hate boner for straight white dudes. He would’ve been a much bigger star in the 90s or 00s.

I loved the 80s movie even though it made Salieri as a villain when he was in reality one of Mozart's greatest fans.
What would keep me glued to my seat however is a mini-series with Mozart, Bach, Beethoven, Handel, Salieri, Haydn, Schubert and others; and how their paths crossed. If it were developed by a crew that were genuinely passionate about the subject and spared no expense for good actors and historic accuracy...it would be sensational. And it would need piano duels as they did it in those days too.
