Everyone and everything is so fucking loud all the time. Leaf blowers, lawn mowers, cars with modified exhaust, dogs, people playing music, concerts, air conditioners, groups of women in restaurants. Most people seem to not be bothered by either hearing or producing extremely loud sounds. I feel like I have a different type of nervous system than 99% of the population.
At 5h am? Where I live, and obviously there as well, there are laws about what times those types of loud activities can be done outside. If you do one of them outside of those reasonable hours, the police can be called to give you a citation and demand you pay a fine.
If there is such a law in place where she resides, then she is entirely entitled to asking the police to intervene, and those calls to prayers should have immediately ceased after the first incident. They are free to practice their religion indoors, or between 8h am and 10h pm.
