There's no both sides. Only the left has tried multiple times to assassinate the sitting president and congressmen. And did assassinate a popular right wing figure (even if he was very center right).
They're just scared that the right is going to do to them what they want to do to us.
A centrist/fence sitter is just appealing to the evil so the evil doesn't touch them and then wave their finger at the good guys for saying "how dare you be like the evil guys for defending yourselves!"
And yeah, that's what I meant as well - they have no moral high ground to stand on. One of our guys didn't kill their ass for disagreeing. They killed the moderate guy, the messenger.
