Seems like we need more evidence. I'm not going to say that the German Government wouldn't assassinate someone, but I don't think it would be Kidney Failure.

Poisons can kill kidneys. And by poisons I mean toxic substances.
Kidney failure is broken down into two broad types: Acute & Chronic.
Chronic is the slow, declining type that old people die from after a lifetime of diabetes, high blood pressure, dialysis or just being really fucking old.
Acute kidney failure is a different beast where an emergency insult to an otherwise healthy kidney causes a person to be overwhelmed with toxins overnight making them critically ill. Lots of potential sources: kidney stones, acute poisons, lack of bloodflow to the kidney, overdosing on anti-inflammatories, overdosing on prescription drugs like high blood pressure ACE inhibitors, acute dehydration, etc.
Most of the time, when you hear of someone dying from kidney failure, it's going to be someone old and in Chronic category 1. So they should've been sick with it for a long time.
It's certainly possible to die from Acute Kidney Failure as well. It would also be possible for glowies to induce Acute Renal Failure with the right poisons.
Someone dying from ARF should be younger, healthier and have a sudden emergency illness sending them directly to the ICU & possibly for emergency dialysis.

In theory you could kill a healthy person with kidney failure by forcing them to swallow a whole bottle of Advil.
Its also possible that they let them die rather then properly treating them. Sadly there are lots of ways to kill people in this world, and quite a few of those ways aren't the easiest to catch.
The fact that so many died all at once in a single area is just far too unusual.
The suicide is suspect, as I always have doubts of suicide cases involving political people...unless the evidence is ironclad. And frankly I can barely find anything about it.
They are also being quite cagey about details regarding the deaths, whether this is intentionally being done to obscure things ala coverup, being done by the families for privacy sake, or some other reason; I sadly do not know.
Yeah, that's why I'm not dismissing it. I'm partial to Raz0rfist's point that McCarthy may have been assassinated for upsetting too many Leftist apple carts. I, myself, have pointed out how even the Greens are descendent of the National Socialists, so it's really not impossible for them to do that kind of thing.
On the other hand, I'm not sure I trust the current government not to, given how they've already tried banning afd and silencing them multiple times.
