In an era of virtualization I'd imagine the solution becomes just spinning up a new server that they haven't found yet and letting your regulars know where to find it.
They just come back. Again, and again, and again. Eventually you have to go to sleep. They don't. And as soon as you are no longer present they ruin games until the server is dead.
Thus proving that those things dont even prevent cheating, so why be an asshole about it EA

Every time you do that you lose a huge number of regulars. It happened to my favorite RS2:V server. It pretty much killed it.
Then the script kiddie would get the boot.
