Just a well made movie imo.
I have no idea what to write as a review. If you liked the first one you’ll probably like this too. Nothing super gay or woke imo, just some excellent characters in interesting situations. A couple audible “what the fuck am I watching” were elicited.
Im looking forward to the sequels, in spite of the announced director for the next one (though I’ve not seen anything she’s made, she did make the Marvels…)
Hes coming back for the 3rd one, but this lady Nia DaCosta is doing the 2nd one
It seems he's fairly involved so it’s (hopefully) not going to be a repeat of the Star Wars sequel trilogy, aka vision-less slop
Women can't direct movies, even Angelina Jolie who has the creds couldnt do it.
Kathryn Bigelow is a good director. She makes a lot of dude-centric movies though. Maybe she's a unicorn
First film she everade was Hurt Locker and I hated it, I thought the writing was trash. Them there was Zero Dark Thirty which made a woman a hero. What else is there?
Zero Dark Thirty was a travesty.
Jessica Chastain as a CIA maverick girlboss.
And the entire story of how they caught OBL was completely fictionalized along with her character.
That's not her first film.
Point Break, Near Dark, Strange Days, Blue Steel, K-19
Think again.
Isn’t she absolutely terrible?
Oh right, she’s a diversity hire.
