Not even close to the first time archive.org has fucked everyone over. It's sad, they serve a very valuable purpose...but that purpose is vastly diminished by the fact that they're untrustworthy leftist idealogues who don't actually believe in the concept of archiving everything and a free flow of information.

I vaguely recall Carolyn Emerick running afoul of them years ago as she delved deeper and deeper into the old European folklore. Good resource but probably also compromised.
Project Gutenberg is a good resource. Although it does not have a copy of Mein Kampf, I tried to find it by author name and title. But it does have a whole lot of books available in a bunch of formats, which is cool.

https://www.gutenberg.org/ is still an option for older works that are no longer in copyright.
