It's funny how quickly and shamelessly they moved the ball down the slippery slope. I imagine a situation where someone pointed out the shit that happened in covid times and they can just literally do it tomorrow.
Slippery Slope is only a fallacy if there isn't a million other identical slopes showcasing clear prior precedent of events or behavior. Then, it is simply a trend line in very solid data, albeit a steep line.
The concept of Gravity is the best example of this: "Oh, just because you're moving downwards at 9.81 m/s now, you think you'll be at nearly 30m/s in just over three seconds? 9.81m/s^2 acceleration you say? Slippery slope! Slippery slope! You'll only fall at exactly 9.81m/s, no matter how long you fall! You can't assume things will always accelerate!"

Proper scrutiny is always good though.
After 12 seconds the human body hits terminal velocity and so a constant 90 m/s is maintained until it isn't.
Slippery slope is so pre-2020, we're in terminal velocity now :)
