This is an interesting outcome. The shooter is an Iraqi. He says his neighborhood is similar to the Iraqi neighborhood he grew up in. He also says an uncle gave him the gun after he was shot at.
The victim who is named, while the shooter's identity is protected, was a black kid. And the whole event started over a girl being offended by the shooter's lyrics in his rapping.
I'm amazed at the implications this successful defense suggest about Iraq, blacks, and Toronto.

I think it says nothing original about Toronto.
I can say I don't expect Canadian cities to be like Chicago or St. Louis. So maybe it be more correct to say it informs on a blind spot of mine
Most Canadian cities can be figured out. Toronto is next level and has been like that since I was a kid. Even other lefty Canadians can't stand it.
Only Canadian city with an NBA team. Coincidence?
That's mostly just Toronto. It's the shit hole of the entire country.
Well if the jury is also imported Iraqis who see their jomeland here... they'll see the outcome as just like back home.
Yeah, I'm kind of interested in the racial makeup of this neighborhood now as well.
