I can say I don't expect Canadian cities to be like Chicago or St. Louis. So maybe it be more correct to say it informs on a blind spot of mine

Most Canadian cities can be figured out. Toronto is next level and has been like that since I was a kid. Even other lefty Canadians can't stand it.
