I heard a theory elsewhere which I agree with - They've had to stop using Hitler/Nazi phraseology because Hitler and Nazis were anti-semites which hits a little too close to home for the pro-palestinian/muslim Democrats. So they've switched their NPC coding to use the terms "Fascist", "Authoritarian" and "Mussolini" because that doesn't make people make the obvious association that the pro-palestinian/muslim communists are the same.
They got tired of calling him Hitler, so now they're calling him Mussolini? Come on, Guardian, you can go lower than that, can't you? Only Mussolini?

I thought it was simply because of the alliteration of "Mango Mussolini" as a spin-off of Orange Man Bad.
That's honestly not one of their worst, if they hadn't overplayed the names so hard that would probably be a solid hitting one.
Maybe next they'll remember Franco existed and and start calling him Fanta Franco.
