Much of the cynical and hostile response to him has been that he's an ex-Blizzard nepotism-hire employee who got too big for his britches, and now thinks he understands the gaming industry better than any of the players ever could. The way he talks definitely makes him look like he's extremely personally invested in keeping live-service games from having any life past their pulled plug, which might be informed by his own game he's been (in charge of?) developing for a while.

Regardless, he seems to be a hilarious cartoon come to life and my recommended videos on youtube have been flooded with various photoshops of his face into distorted expressions of crying and raging as people attack him for his anti-gamer stances.

I saw a clip where he was trying to explain how a game like league of legends could never be released because it uses a client-server model. The idea of releasing the server binary never seemed to occur to him, and he seemed to be unaware that multiplayer games of the past also used client-server model and allowed you to host your own servers.

At first I thought there was no way he couldn't know this or figure it out, so he must be lying, hoping to trick his audience. But given his other behavior I can't rule out that he's a complete hack fraud and lying about all of his tech bona fides.

He claims to be an ex-Blizzard employee, but doesn't seem to realize that WoW had private servers.

He's also a DEFCON hanger-on, his only claim to fame is from a fucking scavenger hunt, he then pretends like he got a black badge from actual hacking.

And then there's his faggot furry shit. Those chat logs are going to be seared into my brain forever.

In short, if piratefagware is against something then I'm immediately for it until proven otherwise. He's a egotistical trashpile of a human being.
