BACKGROUND: Kayli Mills and Corina Boettger are/were members of the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) who went on strike from July 26th of 2024 onwards due to AI being used in video game voices.
They have been quite vocal activists of many 'progressive' things within that community and have tried to gatekeep or restrict information in the usual communist manner.
There’s a LOT more to specifically the Hoyoverse side of things, which is because the Hoyoverse games weren’t being formally struck, but were being wildcat struck, but I’m going to make a full post about this tomorrow since there’s just way too much information to dump in a comment (gonna need the extra characters posts provide).
Almost like a bunch of nobody VAs were never going to have the pull and clout to convince the Chinese to bend the knee on their fucking money printing game.
These Unions have really convinced these losers that they have weight and power that cannot be questioned, without realizing that only happens in the cucked American industries that just let them.
The Film Actors Guild likes to use members as Trojan horses in non-union jobs. Turn a blind eye on unauthorized work, then when the job gets big enough, force it to be union and press-gang non-union actors into the union with a $3000 sign-up fee.
Problem is, FAG picked a fight with the biggest fucking workers' union on the planet: the Chinese Communist Party.
I only know of the Paimon chick, because she harassed a male voice actor for being a scab (even though he wasn't in the union and didn't even know about a strike) while being a scab herself.

Make of that what you will.

No worries, I was just putting what bare basics I found from the names supplied.
I don't know anything about this particular field of entertainment :)

Nearly all their jobs are getting replaced by AI and there is nothing they can do about it.
