So I guess as a society we are just gonna pretend that an unelected billionaire taking over institutions, tearing apart oversight regulations, and accessing everyone's tax information and left because people were mean was just a thing that happened with no ramifications.
Just pretend that the media and tech companies paying hundreds of millions to the trump library (a fund that personally financially benefits Donald Trump) is just normal and not at all a shakedown or quid pro quo.
Pretend that the candidate that claimed peace in Gaza and Ukraine within 24 hours has not made the issues worse by emboldening Russia by being weak and endorsing Israeli led genocide of Palestinians.
Pretend that the candidate who was "best at the economy" has sparked global trade wars because of a fundamental misunderstanding of tarrifs, global trade, trade defecits, and most of the things you'd figure someone who actually attended classes at Wharton would have known.
Pretend that the party that was so concerned with censorship is now actively stripping citizenship of people who speak out.
Pretend that the candidate who would "bring prices down day 1" has caused prices to soar and lead the American economy in a head on collision with stagflation paired with depression.
Yall who still support him 100% are in a fucking cult.
This is where I've seen a lot of Liberal and Libertarian morality blindness. When Douglass Murray and Dave Smith were arguing about the war, and Smith asked him if it was fine for kids to die in rubble. What Smith didn't quite understand (and what Douglas can't admit publicly) is that both sides agree the answer is yes.
At that point, you just gotta step back. They don't agree to your moral framework. If both sides support civilian casualties as a mechanism of collective retribution, there's no amount to appealing to liberal universalism that's gonna change that.
The Palestine-Leftist supporters are crying, not because they think civilian casualties are wrong, but because they are losing. And this was a choice on their part. They thought that either a) the Israelis wouldn't respond so violently, or b) the Arab world would immediately regionalize the war, and even I could have told them that those were both very unlikely options.
A war the Palestinians started by being invaded. Being carried out by a terrorist group propped up by Israel itself to justify further genocide.
You are a jew
I didn't ask Hamas to attack on October 7th. That war was their choice. You can always say something something about 1946, 1961,1973, or 2002; but it doesn't make a difference at the moment. The situation they were in on October 6th was what it was. They didn't have to attack. That was their choice.
Why are you trying to argue Hamas' position?
There was no war that was started on 10/7 merely the escalation of an existing one.
Sure thing, Hasan.
Because they're closest leftists, and support terrorism.
The only difference between them and most lefties is they aren't anti white, but they're united in their constant seething about the jews and their inferiority.
