Quebec has enjoyed special privileges since confederation in 1867. They are guaranteed 1/3 supreme court representation, 1/4 senate representation, they have their own legal system, all federal judges in Quebec must be from Quebec, they receive billions in equalization payments, they get their own national party that represents ONLY the interests of their province. Fuck Quebec.

Yes, I grudgingly agree. I think the equalization payments are disgusting though.

Quebec is not the only province that receives those, if I recall. Pretty much all of them do, except for Alberta, I think.

Correct. Long ago, Alberta, Ontario and BC were "payers" and some provinces were roughly even. Quebec and the Maritimes were always "takers" though.

BC fell to socialists & became a taker. Ontario fell to Liberals and became a taker. Only Alberta pays out more than it receives in Federal money.
