For the first time in my career I have a female boss and it’s awful. I didn’t think anything of it at the time but all discussions are won/lost by whoever had the best zingers, and she only hires women who are uglier than herself, regardless of how unqualified they are. Someone with ten years of relevant experience could walk in the door but if she’s skinny with no tattoos she’s not making it past the initial phone screening. I hate to sound misogynistic but she fills all the bad stereotypes of a female boss and I hate it
Oh man, I had a female boss once and will never do that again.
She asked me to call her anytime an abnormal issue came up. So I did.
Then came annual review time and I shit you not, she gave me a bad review and told me, "You need to learn how to handle issues on your own without calling me every time there's an exception."

Had female bosses for half my career. The key is to flatter them and treat them like [good] children.
Can confirm. I used to tease my boss relentlessly like she was a kid and we got on fine. Just don't take them seriously.
