You're looking at extremists. Most South Africans, regardless of color, condemn the farm attacks.
These "extremists" are the party in charge of the country with fuck tons of people at their rallies, they're not some fringe group.
The people in charge of revolutionary groups, like Mandela, use their "extremist" supporters as a jackboot army with plausible deniability while claiming they don't support violence. This has been especially true in socialists movements everywhere.
