And here I thought Broken Arrow was vapor ware. Last time I had heard about it was something like 2023, when they did a one level beta/demo. What I saw was pretty much a laggier, only slightly better looking WG:RD.
I bet it won't even have WarChat.
That explains the delay then. I hope it does well. My PC has been down for over a year now, and I haven't had time to get it fixed. This game and the World War I game are high on my list for some fun when I have the night to myself.
I’m sure they’ll find a way to fuck up the Star Wars game.
This about mario was interesting
Interconnected race map could be fun or frustrating. What’s gonna be a killer for me on switch 2 is if they hammer in the dlc cycle to make up for their limited release cycle. I’m pretty sure they also included the deluxe upgrade with the Nintendo online before and that would at least be convenient. What’s been consistent with Nintendo is that they at least give you a full game on launch, the downside is that sticker price doesn’t go down over time. How much DLC spam gets added is going to really be the deciding factor on whether or not I bother with a switch 2.
I am just annoyed at how they keep calling it XCom style. They'll likely screw it up, but it's ironic a game about stopping aliens is now a game about aliens battling each other.
I have very strong feelings about Mario Kart World. A giant open world driving game that has actual tracks is pretty much my dream come true. The fact that it isn't Gran Turismo, Asseto Corsa or something similar is really annoying. It feels like Nintendo are making giant open worlds based on their time with Breath of the Wild, and I want more of that. A Mario game where I could jump on a kart would be awesome. Nintendo are really good at level design. They even have the memes ready. However, I'm not the biggest Mario Kart fan, and I worry about DLC and other problems. It really is a 50/50 game of awesome or terrible.
If they’re smart they might start doing an omega Mii hub that’s like gta online for Nintendo franchises. Play bowling with a friend then sync over into a Mario kart or smash bros lobby together.
It would be really cool if it was all in the same world. You see others smashing, others karting, and you're busy racing sonic through the city.
"XCom style" is just the Japanophobic term for a "Fire Emblem Style" game, turn based tactics with accuracy rolls.
I liked it as Shining Force and Front Mission.
Shining Force was indeed also a gem. SF2 was my jam back in the day. But the franchise has somewhat disappeared, alas. And its accuracy rolls were... spotty at best. A progenitor, but not what people envision when they think of the genre. They want % given accuracy, not "usually 1/16, but maybe 1/8 or 1/4, or 1/32... but the stats don't determine it, figure it out!"
Stormgate looks like a fun game, thanks for the link
No problem.
