They can add as much woke nonsense as they want as long as they ratchet it back just enough that on the fence reviewers can say "Hey it's not as bad as we thought! Guys it's not really woke!" Normies always fall back to the perceived center when they can, so you just have to legitimize the idea that your critics are going too extreme the other way. Also load all the woke virtue signaling into the 2nd half of the game so fewer people notice it. (most people never finish these games - see: BG3) Critics focused on the fictional black guy because he was low-hanging fruit, while ignoring problems with the main story itself.
yeah. its equivalent to trump's business deals and tactics. you make an outrageous offer. the opponent says no. then you offer the REAL offer, the one you wanted all along or expected. the opponent will think they are in control and accept it.
pricing too. model 2024 sells for 2,000usd. then you announce the new 2025 model that is almost same as the old model and that it will sell for 5,000usd. there will be backlash, then you reduce it to 3,000usd. majority will buy because "at least its not 5,000usd". it works so much in consumerism.
I'm just so fed up with this specific type of "gamer". If you actually loved the genre you'd want to go back to the roots, alas they do not and are at most tourists. I have become a bit of an anti woke absolutist when it comes to games. I don't want that shit in there, I am fine playing older games or games that don't do retarded BS like that.
There's a reason my game purchases have absolutely cratered over the last decade. Plenty of good masterpieces to revisit and nothing good coming out.
Don't forget new gems to discover! I played less Gamecube games back then because I just did not have a gamecube, now I can go there and play tons of classics from there.
