I want to see Nielsen’s data feeds and talk to the people who run the sampling and modeling. There is no way in hell that 651k people watch that shit. No way. It has to be some sort of aggregator of the number of doctors office and crap where it’s turned on.
The number is an aggregator, but it won't count where it's shown publicly. Nielsen data is collected from participants who opt-in to have a device hooked to their TV that monitors what you watch, when, and for how long. It's not like YouTube where that data is collected from literally everyone who uses the platform. Or at least that's how it worked back in the analog days. I don't know if 'smart' TVs can do that on their own, I've never had one.
This is not expected, right? I remember quite clearly from the first Trump term that shows like this were apparently quite profitable just from lefty rage porn junkies. It looks like this might be more about a significant shift to social media?
