If that were true, Varva wouldn't be goading the audience like he has been. Embrasure probably pushed for the blacks and fags, but Varva tripled down with the jew shit.

I'm saying Varva shares as much of the blame as Embrasure. Even if Warhorse were still independent, the jew shit would probably still be in it.

Maybe, But in retrospect to the first one, it merely depicted Christianity as normal for the setting, not something innately virtuous. Authority figures of the church were all made out to be either sinful hypocrites, or dogmatic oppressors.
I'm still debating what exactly did Varva put in there. My guess the ahistorical black dude and jewish quarter was done on his request/approval but the gay stuff was asked by embracer.
He mentioned he specifically wanted Musa guy in. I first thought he wanted him in to highlight how out of place a black guy would be in those times, the exception that confirms the rule but apparently he just hates his own history and wants to humiliate it as much as possible.
Yep, said black guy does nothing but demean slavic and Christian culture and since he's flagged as an essential character you can't cave his skull in witch a mace.
I mean, why go for the most out there explanation? Someone who hated his own history wouldn't have made the first game. Isn't it far more likely that he was pressured by his publisher, or (less likely in my judgment) he wants to avoid the criticism that the first game received?
Or he simply changed his mind at one point and joined the anti-European crowd.
My current theory is that the company grew and his friend group increased as to have a lot more leftiests. Leftists in person are not like online, they can be very persuasive and if you don't have a strong opinion I can see him changing his mind to be part of the "superior" crowd.
The Musa guy is to much in your face. The publisher can tell him to include it but he chose how to. I think the gay part of Henry was something that was asked for but the enlightened mud-hut dwelling cannibals is all how he wanted to do it and it looks like his entire point is to humiliate Bohemia.

That is also possible. But generally, I'd say that people's minds follow their interests. So he changed his mind so that his publisher didn't have to tell him.
I guess they've never tried to persuade me, because they never seemed persuasive to me. All it is, is regurgitation of conventional wisdom, and when you do a diplomatic counter, they concede that it's a good point. Guess they may be more normies than leftists. Also, this guy is supposedly in the Czech Republic (or did he move?). There isn't a strong pro-black, pro-homosexual lobby there.
While I was looking through his T, I stumbled on his defense. He says that Musa's unusual presence results in interesting interactions. I can imagine that he thought: hey, this adds to the story and helps publishers off my back, to justify the historical inaccuracy.
I don't like that I'm having to sound like a full-blown defensder of this game, but isn't it reasonable coming from a guy who does like a lot of spices? Don't get me started on the food when I was in Japan. But I love the place.
