RFK Jr. may be conflating two things. Obviously, the 2014 coup was instigated by the US, but $5 billion is the total amount that the US spent between 1992 and 2014 to undermine Ukrainian sovereignty. At least, that is the amount that Victoria Nuland admitted to, and in fact, was bragging about. Something to remember the next time they start screaming about 'foreign interference'.

Unfortunately, it does not take $5 billion to coup a government in a failed state like fake Ukraine. It took only $77 million to coup the government in Yugoslavia in 2000 by 'demonstrators' who set the parliament building on fire. Something to remember when they talk about the 'siege of the Capitol'.

USAID has been playing a great role in Eastern Europe for a while now. I believe they were taking credit for writing the 1994 Russian constitution (which is still in force today), a rather autocratic and dictatorial document that US ally Boris Yeltsin forced through after he, with Western support, had tanks fire on the parliament. Because that is democracy.

And this paved the road to the modern day Russian/Ukranian conflict, and billions of US taxpayer funding being laundered abroad.

It’s monumental to see an active politician to confirm it on a multi-million watched show. Even if it’s for political brownie points, it’s a good look for the public to see.

Anyone that had more than two functioning brain cells knew this, but obviously it's nice to see it finally laid out

Didn't the U.S. overthrow the rightful Ukrainian government in 2012 under Obama, and install a Western friendly government?

There are important distinctions.

The CIA used local military factions as a cats-paw to overthrow the democratically elected government.

So, yes, but no. If it was outright US direct action that toppled the government, then Russia would retaliate up to and including a nuclear strike; As that would be a direct, existential attack on Russia by the USA.

The CIA used local military factions as a cats-paw to overthrow the democratically elected government.

So, yes, but no.

If the U.S. federal government uses its subsidiary organizations and resources, no matter how clandestine, to overthrow a foreign government, that means the U.S. ipso facto overthrew a foreign government. The details may be different, but that truth remains.

If it was outright US direct action that toppled the government, then Russia would retaliate up to and including a nuclear strike; As that would be a direct, existential attack on Russia by the USA.

We've repeatedly seen the U.S. and NATO cross red lines with Russia, that should've prompted a direct attack by Russia, and they didn't respond (thank God). The U.S. and NATO have been aggressors against Russia and its allies for many years now. Syria is one example.

Syria was Russia's lone ally in the entire region, and because one of the OPEC nations wanted to run an oil and gas pipeline through Syria into Europe, which would directly compete with Russia's oil and gas exports into Europe, Assad refused. This is why the U.S. and Israel created, led, funded, armed, trained, and aided various "rebel" groups in Syria, including ISIS, to overthrow Assad. They also did it to kill Christians, to steal Syria's mineral deposits (one of the Rothschilds has been stealing Syria's oil by slant drilling from northern Israel into Syria, during the Western created civil war when Syria couldn't stop it), and to enact the Greater Israel plan. Just this one malicious involvement by the U.S. in Syria has led to the deaths of millions, and conveniently, a new "refugee" crisis which ultimately leads to more non-whites being mass imported into White Western nations.
